United States President - James Madison
Montpelier, Virginia
In 1824, James Madison planted four Cedar of Lebanon trees at his house at Montpelier. The seeds were a gift from France and were delivered to Madison by General Lafayette.
In 1995 one of the trees fell during an ice storm.
