In 1869, the Ripy brothers opened their family distillery on Wild Turkey Hill in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. By 1893, the Ripy Brothers’ bourbon represented Kentucky in the World’s Fair. Wild Turkey Bourbon gets its name from a distillery executive during an annual Wild Turkey hunting trip in 1940. The bourbon is aged in premium quality #4 alligator char, white oak barrels. The charcoal covering the inside of these barrels gives Wild Turkey its signature flavor and deep auburn color.
Pens Ink is proud to offer this unique hand-turned product made from a genuine Wild Turkey White Oak Barrel. The barrel was used only once to age the bourbon.
